DETROIT (WKZO) --Security is a top priority as Detroit prepares to host the World Series.
The first game in Detroit isn’t scheduled until Saturday, and officials from state, federal and local police agencies plan to meet early this week to plan how they will keep the crowds under control, win or lose, and to keep patrons safe and protected from crime.
Then there is always the issue of terrorists.
Detroit is #1 on the Forbes list for dangerous cities, St. Louis, one of the cities they could play was #2 on that list.
Detroit has hosted major sports events before, including the Super Bowl and the World Series in '06, and most recently, the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship in 2009, and the Frozen Four in 2010 and so its not like its the first time.
