Three Lakeshore Teams Lock Up State Football Playoff Berths

UNDATED (WHTC) - The regular season in high school football along the Lakeshore ended on Friday night: Zeeland West punched its ticket to the state tournament by winning at Holland, 46-3; Holland Christian edged Byron Center, 14-11; West Ottawa won at Grandville, 37-7; Zeeland East outlasted Muskegon in a battle of unbeatens, 40-39; Hamilton’s playoff hopes were dashed at Unity Christian, 28-27; Saugatuck topped Gobles, 33-27; and Bloomingdale beat Fennville, 36-26. State tournament pairings will be announced on Sunday evening, with both Zeeland schools and West Ottawa assured of spots, and we’ll announce here which games will be carried on what stations on Monday.
