LANSING (WKZO) --      It wasn’t that long ago that the State was down to the lowest number of State Troopers in its recent history due to budget cuts.

 Now 78 brand new rookies have just graduated from the MichiganStatePoliceAcademyin Lansingas members of the 123^rd recruitment class,  and are on their way to their first assignments. 

Some are due to report as soon as Monday.
