DETROIT (WKZO) -- An electric Cadillac coupe will be added to the production line at General Motors' Hamtramck Assembly Plant late next year.
The automaker announced plans to invest 35-million dollars in the facility to produce the Cadillac ELR. The plant already builds the Chevrolet Volt and GM North American President Mark Reuss says the ELR is "proof of our commitment to electric vehicles and advanced technology."
The production version of the ELR may be unveiled at the 2013 North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January.
