ALLEGAN, MI (WHTC) - Perrigo officials announced yesterday that the Allegan-based generic drug maker received tentative approval from the FDA to market a store-brand version of Zegerid. The 20-milligram omeprazole and baking soda capsule helps relieve frequent heartburn. The brand-name version had annual sales of 42 million dollars for maker Merck and Company. Perrigo didn’t announce when its generic version will go on the market.
