DETROIT (WKZO) -- A new report has revealed that Michigan could save one-billion dollars by expanding Medicaid eligibility.
The report, issued by the Center for Healthcare Research and Transformation, shows that the state could save roughly one-billion dollars over ten-years and provide health insurance to 600-thousand residents by expanding Medicaid.
In June, The U.S. Supreme Court upheld the Affordable Care Act, giving states the decision on whether to expand Medicaid eligibility. Michigan has not yet made a decision on how to proceed with the matter.
