JENISON, MI (WHTC) - Investigators believe that a group of youths may be behind a series of business burglaries along Chicago Drive in Jenison in the early morning hours yesterday.
At least eight retailers were victimized by back doors and windows being forced open in the area of 8th Avenue around 4 AM, but as Ottawa County Sheriff’s Detective Lieutenant Mark Bennett explained, the perpetrators didn’t take too much. A white 2005 Chevrolet pickup truck with a black topper, containing construction tools, was the only item initially reported as stolen.
No suspects are in custody, and anyone with any information is asked to contact the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department or Silent Observer (877-88-SILENT, www.mosotips.com).
