DEARBORN (WKZO) -- The new Ford C-Max Energi hybrid will reportedly achieve the equivalent of 108 miles per gallon in city driving.
The automaker announced today it has received that certification from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The EPA found the C-Max will get a combined 100-miles per gallon in city and highway driving.
In making the announcement, Ford officials noted the results are better than the Toyota Prius plug-in hybrid. The C-Max just went on sale last month and the automaker claims the hybrid will save drivers over seven-thousand dollars a year in fuel costs.
