HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - During last night’s work-study session, Holland City Manager Ryan Cotton told City Council members that no firefighters will be laid off for the rest of fiscal 2013. Speculation about reductions developed when word got out about Fire Marshal Mike Larsen leaving his post today without being replaced, along with ongoing research into possible cross-training of Public Safety officers. Cotton added that current firefighter staffing levels will remain.
