DETROIT (WKZO) -- During a time that for many businesses sales have been weakened by a struggling economy, sales of one Michigan-base product are still springy.
In 1998, Michigan's Ray Dallavecchia Junior bought the famous Slinky brand, a move he calls the greatest of his professional career. Dallavecchia's company, now called POOF-Slinky, boasts an annual growth rate of 20-percent.
POOF-Slinky sells over five-hundred Slinky products. Slinky, first walking down stairs 1952, is celebrating 350-million sales.
