HUDSONVILLE, MI (WHTC) - Classes are not in session today at Hudsonville’s Park Elementary School after an apparent flu outbreak. About 25 percent of the 400 or so student body called in sick yesterday, and the strain is believed to be a fast-acting one that lasts less than a day. District staffers met with Ottawa County Health Department officials and decided to shut down educational operations today, so that the building can be given a thorough cleaning and sanitizing before pupils return on Monday. No other Hudsonville schools are apparently afflicted.
