LANSING, MI (WHTC) - Former state lawmaker Patty Birkholz has resigned as director of the Michigan Office of the Great Lakes. No explanation as to why the Saugatuck Republican left was mentioned by Governor Snyder in yesterday’s announcement that Consumers Energy official Jon Allan of East Lansing will replace her. However, one official of the National Wildlife Federation told MIRS that “we are sad to hear that Patty is retiring.”
