ZEELAND, MI (WHTC) - The start of October was rotten for a number of tenants of a Zeeland Township storage complex.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Detective Lieutenant Mark Bennett, one of those tenants came to Ottagan Self Storage off of Ottagan Street east of 96th Avenue yesterday morning to find a breach in the fence and his and a number of other units broken into. A variety of items were taken, and bolt cutters that may have been used to bust locks was discovered in one of the units. At least 15 tenants have been contacted, with over 30 units possibly victimized, and no suspects are in custody. Anyone with any information is asked to call the Sheriff’s Department or Silent Observer.
