LANSING (WKZO) -- Income tax rates have fallen ever so slightly for Michigan residents.
The rate fell from 4.35-percent to 4.25-percent Monday with the start of a new fiscal year for state government. The personal exemption has also increased from 3,700-dollars to 3,950-dollars.
Legislative Democrats argued unsuccessfully when the cut was passed that it wouldn't amount to much more than a few more dimes in the paychecks of Michigan residents.
