GRAND HAVEN, MI (WHTC) - A Grand Haven teenager who assaulted a Grand Haven Public Safety officer with a wine bottle wasn’t the only one who woke up with a headache yesterday. The unnamed officer was dispatched to handle a noise complaint on Clinton Street at about 3 AM when he was attacked and struck several times on the head with the bottle. He had to use a Tazer to subdue the unnamed 18-year-old man, who was subsequently jailed pending an arraignment, and the suspect faces a ten-year felony if convicted. The officer, an 11-year veteran, was treated for minor injuries at North Ottawa Community Hospital and released.
