LANSING, MI (WHTC) - A measure naming the eastern edge of I-96 in Ottawa County for Trevor Slot cleared the state House Transportation Committee yesterday. The bill, sponsored by Representative Lisa Posthumus Lyons, honors the Walker Police Officer run down and killed by fleeing bank robbers a year ago on the 16^th Avenue exit in Marne, and would place signs in his name from that junction east to Fruit Ridge Avenue. The full House will consider the legislation next week.
