HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - A 50 thousand-dollar, protracted lighting project for the Washington Avenue tunnel underneath the main runway of West Michigan Regional Airport should end by tonight. Southbound traffic will be allowed to flow through after lighting of those lanes was completed yesterday; northbound motorists will still need to detour using Lincoln Avenue. Crews took light measurements and performed maintenance in the eight year-old tunnel while installing the new fixtures.
