LANSING (WKZO) -- Michigan Supreme Court Justice Diane Hathaway is in hot water. U.S. Attorney Barbara McQuade has filed a civil complaint against the justice and her husband for fraudulently transferring property and hiding assets.
The U.S. government is seeking the forfeiture of Hathaway's posh second home in suburban Orlando, Florida. The suit claims that she and her husband hid assets to defraud a bank and escape having to pay 600-thousand dollars in mortgage debt on a Michigan property.
