SAUGATUCK TWP., MI (WHTC) - Singapore Dunes LLC officials last night presented to the Saugatuck Township Planning Commission a development plan for 25 single-family, two-acre lots on 81 acres near the mouth of the Kalamazoo River. While the proposal met current zoning laws, the commission withheld its immediate endorsement, as it was just the first phase of what may be a more extensive luxury condo-resort complex envisioned by developer Aubrey McClendon on 310 acres that he owns. Environmentalists are opposed to any development.
