TERRE HAUTE, IN (WHTC) - Hope College finished 10th among 32 teams on Saturday in the NCAA Division III women's cross-country championship meet. It was the Orange and Blue's best finish since placing fourth in 1993. Junior Sheri McCormick was the top Flying Dutch runner by finishing 27th. As for the men, Blake Rottschafer represented Hope, finishing 194th.
In women's college basketball on Saturday, Hope won the Tip-Off Championship in Wilmington, Ohio by defeating the host Quakers, 64-37. Rebekah Lorens scored 12 points for the Flying Dutch (2-0).
