LANSING, MI (WHTC) - Governor Snyder announced on Friday two appointments from the east side of the state to the Grand Valley State University Board of Trustees. Crain Communications executive Mary Kramer has some GVSU roots, receiving her bachelor’s degree in arts and media from the Allendale-based school, but Consumers Energy President and CEO John Russell has no apparent ties in his past to the Lakers. They will serve eight-year terms, and fill vacancies created by the departures of Kate Wolters and Noreen Meyers.
