ALLEGAN, MI (WHTC) - The K-9 Division of the Allegan County Sheriff’s Department was bolstered this week with a three thousand-dollar donation from the Holland Kennel Club. Sergeant Brett Ensfield, who is the coordinator of the division, plans to use the funds to purchase emergency door openers for patrol vehicles that will carry the dogs to assignments within the county. This is the latest in a series of financial gifts to the department by the HKC, including a donation two years ago that led to the purchase and training of “Lucky” the dog.
