DEARBORN (WKZO) -- The American Red Cross is receiving a large donation from Ford Motor Company.  The automaker announced a one-million dollar donation to help the agency with workforce training for veterans, their family members and the disaster relief fund.

There will be 200 Blue Oval Scholarships available for nurse assistant training in the Armed Forces Program of the Red Cross.  Training careers are being offered in five cities including Detroit.

The nurse program provides the necessary training for graduates to achieve their certification as a nurse assistant and get a job in the medical field.
