LANSING (WKZO) -- The Michigan League for Public Policy is pushing the state House to get to work on creating a state-operated health insurance exchange, and some republicans were beginning to express support, prefering a state exchange with local control to one imposed by the federal government. All states had faced a friday deadline to get those set up or have something worked out with the federal government to have Washington handle the insurance exchanges under the Affordable Care Act.
