HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - In the wake of an attempted firebombing of a mobile home comes a discussion about crime and neighborhood safety on Holland’s North Side.
The search is on for two men who allegedly threw a Molotov cocktail that didn’t burst at a unit in the Leisure Estates complex off of Butternut Drive around 8:30 on Monday night, and then returned about two hours later, drawing a handgun but not firing at the homeowner who came out to investigate. The homeowner and his wife were shaken but not hurt.
This morning from 9 to 11 AM, Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Brent Converse and other members of the Holland-Park Township Community Policing Unit will be on hand at the McDonald’s on River Avenue near Lakewood Boulevard to discuss this and other incidents.
Anyone with any information on the Leisure Estates incident from Monday night is asked to contact the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department or Silent Observer.
