GRAND HAVEN, MI (WHTC) - A deacon for 11 years at St. Patrick’s Church in Grand Haven was arraigned yesterday on felony embezzlement charges. Prosecutors claim that 73-year-old Joseph Finnigan took more than 20 thousand dollars, and he was sacked by the church last Wednesday when the accusations came to light. He is free on a 10 thousand-dollar personal recognizance bond, and could face up to 10 years in prison if convicted.
