HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC) - A brush fire near a school on Holland’s North Side yesterday morning may have been the work of three pranksters who are being sought. According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Jon Ditmar, deputies were called to the area of Pine Creek School off of 136th Avenue on a report of a brush fire. The caller said that he first saw one suspicious-looking teen wearing a hoodie to hide his features, and subsequently spotted two more moments before the first flickers of smoke were seen billowing skyward. The three youths fled on foot to a wooded area north of the school before deputies arrived. Holland Township fire crews were able to quickly extinguish the flames without damage to property, and there were no injuries. Anyone with any information as to the incident or the three teens sought as persons of interest is asked to contact the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department or Silent Observer (877-88-SILENT; http://mosotips.com).
