GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WHTC) - Despite 245 yards rushing from Jon Pung and another 159 from Danny Bauder, with both running for three touchdowns each, Zeeland West's post-season run ended on Saturday afternoon with a 68-44 loss at Grand Rapids Christian. The Dux (7-4) had no answer for the Eagles' senior quarterback Alex VanDeVusse, who threw for 413 yards and four touchdowns, along with running for 110 yards and four six-pointers as well. The loss not only ends Zeeand West's season, but it also stops the Lakeshore in the MHSAA tournament, as no team has advanced past the second round.
