DETROIT (WKZO) -- The Tea Party has left its mark on the Michigan Republican party, electing Dave Agema and Terri Lynn Land to become the state’s two National Committee members over the weekend, replacing incumbents Saul Anuzis and Holly Hughes, who were the Governor’s favorites and the Republican mainstream’s picks.
Republican Strategist John Yob said “I think this was the first convention that the Tea Party invited the Republican Party to". He says they are just out organizing and out recruiting the party regulars.
Democrats issued news releases saying it’s just more proof that the GOP has veered to the extreme right, and cracked in the middle.
