MUSKEGON, MI (WHTC) - A would-be Democratic challenger to first-term Republican Congressman Bill Huizenga of Zeeland did not file petitions with the Secretary of State’s office by the Tuesday afternoon deadline. Muskegon Community College Professor David Takitaki had sleeve gastrectomy surgery last month that he says would have prevented him from actively campaigning. Huizenga is now apparently running unopposed for reelection.
