LANSING (WKZO) -- Governor Rick Snyder will reportedly begin accepting his normal salary this year.  In 2011, the governor returned all but one-dollar of his over 159-thousand-dollar salary due to budget concerns, but according to the Michigan Informatiion and Research Service, the governor has not made that same pledge for this year.

Sara Wurfel, spokesperson for the governor, says Snyder still plans to use a portion of his salary for charitable contributions, which he and his wife will decide upon by year's end.  Snyder is considered independently wealthy, with a reported annual income of almost two-million dollars, according to his 2010 income tax return.
