DETROIT (WKZO) -- The U.S. Secret Service arrested a Detroit man after he tried to selling his counterfeit money and the machine to make it to a Detroit pawn shop.

Kenny Smith went to the American Jewelry and Loan location at Eight Mile and Evergreen Roads.  The store is featured in the reality show "Hardcore Pawn" and owner Les Gold says Smith wanted to be on the show.

Federal authorities had been watching Smith's activities and arrested him at the store.  Smith's conversation about his fake money was captured by the show and given to the Secret Service.
