HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - A run that starts in Kollen Park at 8 AM formally kicks off the eight-day Tulip Time Festival this morning. Opening day highlights include Dutch Dancing in and around Centennial Park; a Vintage Base Ball Game; and at Kollen Park, Kinderplaats during the day, along with fireworks at dusk. LAUP’s Fiesta continues in and around the Holland Civic Center for 12 hours today, including a carnival in the Civic Center’s parking lots. Tulip Time and Fiesta aren’t the only major events going on along the Lakeshore today, as others are heading to Borculo for the annual Dandelion Festival that includes a pancake breakfast, games and a parade, and the annual Classic Boat Show is at South Haven’s Michigan Maritime Museum.
