GRAND HAVEN, MI (WHTC) - Two men accused of bilking at least 140 people across West Michigan to a total of around nine million dollars over several years have been bound over for trial on racketeering and fraud charges. Jeffrey Ripley and Danny VanLiere remain held on 500 thousand dollars each after a two-day preliminary hearing in Grand Haven District Court, and each could serve at least 20 years in prison if convicted of the felony counts.
