ALLEGAN (WHTC) - A 25-year-old Wisconsin man will spend up to 15 years in prison for a crash last fall that killed two Holland-area men. Jeffrey Hinds was sentenced this afternoon by Allegan County Circuit Judge Kevin Cronin to 38 months to 15 years behind bars on a charge of reckless driving causing death in the September 29 crash on 146th Avenue near Graafschap. 24-year-old Chad Bradbury and 22-year-old Michael Stille died in the crash, two days before Bradbury was to marry Stille’s sister, Samantha. Authorities say that Hinds’ SUV was speeding along 146th Avenue when it lost control and struck a house. Toxicology tests revealed that Hinds was drunk and had marijuana in his system at the time of the crash. Hinds had pleaded no contest to the reckless driving charge last month.
