WASHINGTON (WKZO) -- Senator Carl Levin was in Afghanistan with President Obama Tuesday.
As the chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, Levin was alongside the President for the signing of a strategic agreement with Afghan President Hamid Karzai. He said the agreement represents a "significant step forward for the United States and our national security."
The unannounced trip was on the one-year anniversary of U.S. Navy Seals killing terrorist leader Osama bin Laden in Pakistan.
