FENNVILLE (WHTC) - Fennville could be the next stop for Amtrak's Pere Marquette rail line from Grand Rapids to Chicago. State officials are working with the city on possibly locating a stop in Fennville, instead of Bangor, which had been earlier proposed, because it's closer to major tourist destinations such as Saugatuck and Douglas. Michigan Department of Transportation officials say as many as 10,000 people could use the Fennville stop, as opposed to 3,000 if the stop is located in Bangor.
