'Hunger Games' Star Jennifer Lawrence: Team Gale or Team Peeta?

The bread and butter of many fantasy drama films of today is the Love Triangle. Twilight practically tore apart a nation in the heated battle between Team Edward and Team Jacob. And although they may not be coming right out of the gate in selling this aspect of the story, The Hunger Games is definitely built around a major Love Triangle. When the movie comes to theaters later this month, we will see Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) torn between Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) and Gale Hawthorne (Liam Hemsworth).

Many a Hunger Games fan will adhere to his or her side from the start, declaring one or the other the only true companion for the movie's hero Katniss. But some are a little more unsure. After all, both young men are viable suitors. And among the community of those who can't quite decide which team to back, there is a particularly noteworthy individual: Jennifer Lawrence herself.

On the topic of her loyalties to either character, Lawrence told Seventeen, ""I think I [preferred] Gale until he started getting a little too trigger-happy. Or maybe first Peeta and then Gale or Gale, then Peeta? I went back and forth. I flip-flopped.""

But characters aside, Lawrence had nothing but loving things to say about both of her costars: ""Josh and Liam are really great friends. They are hilarious and sweet. They are like my brothers. As soon as we all got together, we reverted back to being 13-year-olds. Josh and I were neighbors. Every time I would come in late, I would go and bang on the door and wake him up and we'd all hang out.""
