SOUTH HAVEN, MI (WHTC) - The South Haven Board of Education meets tonight to appoint an acting superintendent. Robert Black, who was planning to retire at the end of this academic year, is home recovering from weekend surgery to remove a malignant brain tumor. A potential temporary operational leader for the district has reportedly been identified by Board President Bryan Lewis. The panel is also expected to winnow through 29 applications for the permanent superintendent’s post to decide who will be brought for interviews and final consideration.
