HOLLAND (WHTC) - A new NBC News/Marist poll shows former Congressman Pete Hoekstra of Holland is gaining ground, but still faces a double-digit deficit in his bid to unseat two-term Democratic U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow. The poll of 1-thousand-78 likely voters, released Friday, shows Stabenow with a 49-to-37 percent lead over the Republican Hoekstra. In February, the same NBC News/Marist poll had Hoekstra trailing 53-to-32 percent, right after the controversial “Debbie Spend-It-Now” Super Bowl ad. The poll has a 3 percent margin of error.
