The Town star plays Beth Raymer, an exotic dancer who became a professional sports gambler, in the Stephen Frears film which is based on her memoir.

Hall spent three months with Raymer before filming began to get a glimpse into her lifestyle - and the actress admits they would frequently end up drinking with strangers or ""dancing around a piano until five in the morning"".
