SAUGATUCK, MI (WHTC) - State Boundary Commission members took mostly anti-merger testimony during a public hearing at Saugatuck High last night. The Consolidated Government Committee submitted enough valid petition signatures to get the matter of combining the governments of Saugatuck and Douglas into a single entity on the ballot; the state will take remarks from this hearing and from written comments through July 30^th before deciding on whether a consolidation vote will take place.
