Does the reality-laden landscape of summer television already have you yearning for the days of picnics in Pawnee and family dinners with the Bravermans? Well, NBC's got you covered: Instead of debuting their fall rollout during late September's premiere week, the Peacock will stagger their premieres over two months, starting in mid-August.
To give their new shows an extra kick, NBC will use their coverage of NFL football and the summer Olympics as launchpads. Two new comedies, Go On and Animal Practice, will get previews during the Olympics with Animal starting right after the closing ceremonies. On Aug. 13, NBC will premiere the new Mark Burnett-Dick Wolf competition reality series Stars Earn Stripes, followed by the second season premiere of Grimm.
The Voice will also make an early return, debuting its first fall season after the Sept. 9 premiere of Football Night in America. Returning favorite Parenthood will return the week of Sept. 10, along with newbies The New Normal and Guys With Kids. The apocalyptic drama Revolution will debut on Monday Sept. 17, with Up All Night, The Office, and Parks and Recreation following that Thursday. And don't worry, Greendale Human Beings: Community will be back on Friday, Oct. 19.
