DETROIT (WKZO) -- Flint and Detroit remain the most violent cities in the country. According to preliminary crime statistics released this week by the FBI for 2011, both cities saw a drop in overall violent crimes, however they remain at the top of the list.
The numbers show that Detroit showed a decline in violent crimes, despite an eleven-percent increase in homicides. Flint saw violent crimes drop from 2,356 per 100-thousand residents to 2,337. That's still well above Detroit's rate of 2,137.
