LAKETOWN TWP., MI (WHTC) - For the second time in as many days, a number of departments responded to a house fire in northern Allegan County. Just before dawn on Saturday, a two-story residence on 145^th Avenue east of 64^th Street in Laketown Township was ablaze, with flames fully engulfing an attached garage and spreading to the home itself when crews from four communities arrived at the scene. A family of four living inside was able to escape safely, and there were no injuries reported as firefighters were on hand for about three and a half hours. On Friday, a log home on 45^th Street near the Rabbit River east of Hamilton went up in flames.
