GRANDVILLE, MI (WHTC) - The 57-year-old Grandville man accused of tearing down and burning a number of American flags in Hudsonville earlier this month has a preliminary hearing scheduled on an unrelated charge today. William Howerton allegedly attempted to set fire to a candle store in the Rivertown Crossings mall in March. He already has pleaded guilty to the Ottawa County incidents, but sentencing has been delayed due to these proceedings.
