HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - A three-and-a-half-week-long burning ban in the city of Holland was lifted today. The ban was due to drought conditions caused by sparse rainfall, but recent storms have alleviated the problem to the point where Public Safety Fire Operations Captain Chris Tinney felt that normal recreational fire restrictions could be resumed. There were no major weather-related fire outbreaks during the length of the ban in the Holland area.
