UNDATED (WHTC) - Jhonny Peralta slugged two homers, driving in four runs, while Doug Fister scattered seven hits with nine strikeouts in eight innings of pitching, as the Tigers yesterday salvaged the series finale in Toronto, 4-1. Detroit begins a three-game series in Boston tonight, with coverage on 1450 WHTC beginning at 6:45 PM.

Anthony Rizzo’s two-run homer in the bottom of the 10th inning yesterday enabled the Cubs to win the rubber game of the series with visiting St. Louis, 4-2. Chicago opens up a three-game series against visiting Pittsburgh at Wrigley Field this evening.

Scott Feldman allowed seven hits with five strikeouts over eight innings last night, pitching Texas to a 2-0 victory over the visiting White Sox last night. Chicago starts a three-game series at Minnesota this evening.

Matt Rice’s RBI single in the fourth inning broke a 2-2 tie, and Bowling Green went on to defeat the visiting Whitecaps last night, 5-4. West Michigan looks to avoid being swept out of Bowling Green Ballpark by the Hot Rods in this evening’s series finale.
