TORONTO - Anibal Sanchez gave up three home runs in his Detroit Tigers debut Saturday as the Toronto Blue Jays dealt Detroit its fourth loss in five games, 5-1, on Saturday afternoon. Edwin Encarnacion, Colby Rasmus and Yunel Escobar all went deep against Sanchez, who was acquired from the Miami Marlins earlier this week with Omar Infante in a trade that sent top pitching prospect Jacob Turner and two minor leagues to the Marlins. Henderson Alvarez allowed just five hits over seven innings to even his season record at 7-7. The Tigers and Blue Jays close out their series Sunday at the Rogers Centre, with broadcast time on 1450 WHTC at 12:40 p.m.
