DETROIT (WHTC) - The Detroit Tigers have acquired second baseman Omar Infante and starting pitcher Anibal Sanchez from the Miami Marlins in a move to bolster their middle infield and starting pitching. However, they had to part with top pitching prospect Jacob Turner in the process. Infante, who played for the Tigers from 2002 to 2007, is hitting .287 with eight homers and 33 RBI this season, while Sanchez is 5-7 with a 3.94 ERA. Turner just picked up his first win of the season on Saturday against the White Sox in a game that propelled the Tigers into first place. The Marlins also get catcher Rob Brantly from the Tigers.
